Westpfalz Klinikum
Westpfalz-Klinikum GmbH, Kaiserslautern is the level-1 hospital for the western region of Rhineland-Palatinate. It is the teaching hospital of the University of Mainz. With more than 1200 beds, the Westpfalz-Klinikum provides every speciality necessary for treatment of all medical emergencies. The Institute of Anaesthesiology and Emergency Medicine covers clinical anaesthesia, intensive care medicine, preclinical emergency medicine with doctor staffed ambulances for the region of Kaiserslautern (more than 5000 emergency missions per year). The Westpfalz-Klinikum owns a nursing home with over all 135 beds for disabled and elderly people.
